Sony Pictures Home Ent. and Chorion have signed a global licensing partnership for THE MR. MEN SHOW television property. Sony will release all 52 episodes of the new sketch comedy show on DVD.

The partnership between Sony Pictures Home Ent. and Chorion marks resurgence in the MR. MEN brand, which has further licensing agreements in place with Fisher Price, Unilever, Virgin Atlantic, Quantas, Zara, Jakks Pacific, American Greetings, Penguin Publishing, Nestle and Sony Creative Products.

THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO recently began using AJA's XENA 2Ke video card as a key component of its vfx editing pipeline. SustainLane recently released the pilot episode of GORILLA IN THE GREENHOUSE, an action-packed, web-based, animated show that inspires kids to take real-world steps towards a healthier planet.

The show is set in a magical greenhouse in San Francisco and features a visionary green gorilla and four kids who use their imagination, their network and their music to tackle the environmental challenges facing their generation.

HIT Entertainment announced a strategic distribution and co-production agreement with Smartoonz, a division of Zeppelin Animation to distribute and sell three of its pre-school television shows around the world.

HIT has acquired the distribution rights to LITTLE FABLES, an animated pre-school show targeting 2 to 5 year olds and will co-produce MONKEY SEE, MONKEY DO and CLAY PLAY, both of which are slated for delivery in 2009. HIT has also secured first option rights on all future properties from Smartoonz.

In an open letter to the media, SMALLVILLE creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar have announced they are leaving the show they started at the end of the current season.

TV GUIDE is reporting that a pair of producing teams -- Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson, and Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer will take over as showrunners and executive producers. The four are longtime writers on SMALLVILLE.
