LetMeOut Animations is a young company with great aspirations. We are currently working on our first show, VirtualCraft. It has a large roster and a combination of dialogue focused scenes and action oriented scenes. We are looking for someone with at least 1 year of experience working with Blender animation. You will be working directly with the lead animator and creator.
To start, I am well aware it's no easy task; I imagine it's going to be a great mountain of work and elbow grease to make the portfolio shine. Especially given how I'm approaching it.

You will have to work for free, and have to apply the background music, and before you begin animating, you have to show me what characters or place look like, only main characters , you can animate the background and other characters whatever way you want.
Hi folks! I have a question I hope someone here could answer:
I've just finished my first year at Sheridan, and I'm trying to put together a demo reel. In addition to my schoolwork, I volunteered as an assistant colourist on a few grad films. Can I include the scenes I coloured in my reel, as long as I give credit to the original animator? I don't want it to look like I'm taking credit for someone else's work.
Speaking of which, can I use copyrighted music for my reel? If not, is there a resource you'd recommend for royalty-free tracks?

2) Is it a real challenge to get work in 2D in the NY area? More so than with 3D?
I love animation and I live in NYC. I just trained in some 3D software, and while I enjoyed the learning experience, I have to say I’m just not into many things 3D, with the exception of modeling for toys, and some horror film special effect ideas.
