Shorts born from the studio’s annual 5 Second Day will be shown for industry leaders and insiders, animation enthusiasts, and the public in Los Angeles, New York, and Vancouver.
As part of its 25th anniversary celebration, Titmouse, the Emmy Award-winning animation studio behind Big Mouth, The Legend of Vox Machina, The Venture Bros., and so many other top shows, has announced the return of its annual 5 Second Day… Night!!!, with screenings set for March 28 in Los Angeles and New York, and April 15 in Vancouver.
For nearly two decades, Titmouse has held 5 Second Day, an annual tradition in which studio production halts for 24 hours and artists receive a fully paid day to unleash their most quirky, beautiful, bizarre, and laugh-out-loud animated ideas. Every short remains 100% owned by its creator. Over 2,000 have been created at the studio since the tradition began. 5 Second Day… Night!!! is an evening of screenings of these shorts for industry leaders and insiders, animation enthusiasts, and the public.
“5 Second Day has always been about letting the artists crack their skulls open and spill whatever’s in their brain out onto the screen,” said Chris Prynoski, founder and president of Titmouse. “Do you want to know what’s in an animator’s mind? Do you want to know the fear, shame, uncertainty, depravity, and pure unfiltered creativity of a film maker's innermost thoughts? I think you do. I do. Celebrating 25 years of doing what we love makes this year’s event even more thrilling. Feeding the audience the private, intimate brain-fruits of our employee’s imaginations in luscious cartoon form is what it’s all about —and now that tickets are on sale, we can’t wait for fans to experience it firsthand.”
Tickets are on sale now, and can be purchased on the Titmouse site.
