Frederator Studios and Nickelodeon are hosting a screening of its shorts program, RANDOM! CARTOONS, which delivers 39 brand new, funny, creator driven, seven-minute cartoons for kids. The series features the work of dozens of creators, more than 100 voice artists and more than 300 cartoonists. The screening will feature a selection from the RANDOM! CARTOONS series, which will premiere on Nickelodeon and Nicktoons Networks later this year. The screening will be followed by a Q & A with Fred Seibert and featured shorts creators. The 47th Edition of the Festival Rose d'Or (The Festival For Entertainment Television Programming) will take place on the shores of Lake Lucerne, Switzerland from May 5-9, 2007, under the management of the newly set up company Rose d'Or Ltd. Freddy Burger Management bought the rights to the Rose d'Or Festival this summer and appointed producer Urban Frye as the new md.
Under the new management, the festival will stand on three main pillars -- the competition, the conferences and the filmkiosk.
The conference will focus heavily on how IPTV operators differentiate themselves in an increasingly crowded television marketplace. The ASIFA-Hollywood Stop Mo Expo is envisioned as a celebration of the art of stop motion. There will be screenings, special guests, guest speakers, panels and vendors. There will also be a stop motion animation jam taking place all day long. The current plan is to build two stop motion models and a set. The subjects will be boxers. The armatures will be purchased from Armaverse. A boxing rink set will be designed and set up in the area off of the Cabrini Meeting Room.
