New York International Children's Film Festival 2007

New York International Children's Film Festival was formed to encourage the creation and dissemination of passionate, intelligent, compelling film productions for ages 3-18. NYICFF was founded in 1997 and is the largest festival of film for children and teens in North America. The festival presents high quality programming while pushing the boundaries of style, genre and subject matter to help redefine what is meant by "film for kids."

The Museum of Television & Radio will present the 24th annual William S. Paley Television Festival. This Festival, named for William S. Paley, founder of both the Museum and CBS, celebrates television's rich and diverse programming and the creative process behind it. During each evening, the audience views episodes or highlights of the featured work and has the opportunity to ask questions of the cast and creative team or the individual involved in its production.

The Nickelodeon Writing Fellowship

Nickelodeon is offering writing fellowships in live-action and animated television to culturally and ethnically diverse, new writers. Participants will have hands-on experience writing spec scripts and pitching story ideas.

The program, developed to broaden Nickelodeon's outreach efforts, provides a salaried position for up to one year. The '07 - '08 cycle is tentatively scheduled to begin in Oct. 2007.

The next submission period runs from Jan. 2 -- Feb. 28, 2007. Applications and submission guidelines are available at www.nickwriting.com.
