The world’s biggest window into Australian animation is back in Melbourne, featuring talks, screenings, and international programs that showcase the full range of animation.
For nine days Melbourne plays host to Australia’s largest animation festival. The Melbourne International Animation Festival showcases the best animated films from locals and participants around the world in their continued effort to highlight the awesome diversity of animation. Films selected from over 4,000 submissions feature every animation technique, genre, and style currently on the scene.
A full films list will go up in April along with ticketing information. However, attendees can expect the festival to include a multitude of talks from industry leaders and screenings from the numerous international animation programs on offer.
With 400+ films, MIAF has something for everyone, delivering everything from classic animation techniques to the much-lauded annual Abstract Showcase.
