The 14th Edition of the Oscar qualifying event will be online throughout Latin America and in person in Santiago de Chili between May 26-30.
The fourteenth International Animation Festival CHILEMONOS 2025 will be held both online and in person in Santiago de Chile from May 26-30, 2025. One of the largest international distribution platforms for Chilean animation production, the event was created by Spondylus Producciones which has also created the first Chilean market in the animation industry, MAI! (Market, Animation, and Industry).
Since 2019, the CHILEMONOS International Animation Festival has been a qualifying festival for the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences meaning winning films from the Latin American Animated Short Film Competition and the International Animated Short Film Competition may be eligible to enter the Oscar Short Film Competition.
