Kecskemet Animation Film Festival 2009

KAFF includes two different competitions: one for European animated feature films and TV specials and one for Hungarian animated short films.

In addition to the film screenings musical and theatrical shows, exhibitions and professional discussions will take place in town. Kecskemet is a small town with 100,000 inhabitants, with several arts workshops and with a lively cultural life, 80 km south of Budapest.

Entry works -- Feature (min. 52 minutes) and TV-Special (min.24 minutes) -- shall be made "frame by frame", including computer graphics animation.

Works shall be those that have been completed after February 1, 2007. Entry works shall be on DVD.

Online submissions (www.kaff.hu) are preferred. Printed and signed entry forms must be sent together with DVDs to the festival office.

For works with narration or dialogue, the script must be enclosed. If any narration or dialogue is spoken in a language other than the official languages of the Festival, an English translation must be attached to the script. It is desired that the films or videotapes have English subtitles.

The official prizes are: Kecskemet Prize 2500 Euros, The Best Feature Film 2000 Euros and The Best TV Special 2000. The organizing committee also welcomes certain organizations wishing to present its own special prizes and cash awards.
