Bill Plympton's Mutant Aliens Screening and Appearances

Bill Plympton's newest film "Mutant Aliens," will be opening in New York City on April 19, 2002 at the Cinema Village Theater, 22 East 12th St., New York. "Mutant Aliens", Bill Plympton's fourth animated feature, was an Official Selection of the 2001 Sundance Film Festival and the Grand Prize winner at the 2001 Annecy Animation Festival. In support of the film's premiere, Bill Plympton will be signing his "Mutant Aliens" graphic novel on April 17th at Jim Hanley's Universe, 4 West 33rd St., between 5:00-7:00 pm. And on April 19th, Bill will be available to sign DVDs of his films "Plymptoons," "The Tune" and "I Married a Strange Person" at Kim's Video, 6 St. Mark's Place, 4:00-5:00 pm. "Mutant Aliens" tells the story of Earl Jensen, an astronaut who is stranded in space by Dr. Frubar, an evil space industry tycoon. 20 years later, he returns to Earth with five adorable bloodthirsty aliens to get his revenge.
