Czech and German filmmakers will have the opportunity to get to know each other and plan co-operative projects at the 14. Filmfest Dresden, with a follow-up in Prague. Titled "Perspectives for Animated Film" and taking place for the first time ever this year, the exchange is directed towards up-and-coming directors and producers in the field of animation film. The one week forum will focus in particular on the training, production and funding structures in each country. The exchange is the result of a co-operation between Filmfest Dresden, the Goethe Institute Prague, the Czech Centre in Dresden, as well as various other institutions.In addition to studio visits, podium discussions and festival films, the exchange forum will present opportunities and strategies in the film funding area. Particular emphasis will be given in this regard to European programmes such as MEDIA and EURIMAGES as well as Mitteldeutsche Medienf
