Pitch Black Names Paul Richards CTO

FuseFX, FOLKS, Rising Sun Pictures, and El Ranchito’s parent company taps industry veteran to further enhance and finalize its global platform and workflow integration.

Pitch Black, the parent company of leading visual effects studios FuseFX, FOLKS, Rising Sun Pictures, and El Ranchito, announced the appointment of Paul Richards as chief technology officer (CTO). The industry veteran will leverage his 10+ years’ of VFX experience to further Pitch Black’s efforts to enhance and finalize its global platform and workflow integration.

Richards previously served as chief technology officer at post-production facilities Picture Shop, Ghost VFX, and Method Studios, where he helped build and manage technology teams. In his new role, Richards will lead efforts to maintain high global security standards, including support for the company’s four brands.
