Program includes sessions with director Glen Keane on the making of ‘Over the Moon;’ RISE’s Florian Gellinger and their first in-house productions, ‘Dragon Rider’ and ‘Stowaway;’ and MR. X’s creative team discussing the film adaption of ‘Monster Hunter’ video game; project submissions being accepted until February 22 for Animation Product Days.
FMX's first online edition, running May 4-6, will showcase innovative projects, inspiring personalities, and creative trends, creating a space for participants to connect with an international community of experts and industry talents.

- The Making of Over the Moon - Join director Glen Keane and producers Peilin Chou and Gennie Rim in a discussion about the creative origins of the project, developing the world of the film, and bringing the characters to life.
- Florian Gellinger, owner/executive VFX producer at RISE – The VFX studio evolved from a creative services provider into a content creator studio by co-producing animated and live-action content for the big and small screen through RISE Pictures, its film and TV production company. In his keynote, Gellinger will share insights into their first in-house productions Dragon Rider and Stowaway.
- MR. X's creative team Trey Harrell (VFX supervisor), Jo Hughes (VFX producer), Ayo Burgess (DFX supervisor), and Tom Nagy (animation supervisor) will share the VFX behind Paul W.S. Anderson's cinematic adaption of the popular video game Monster Hunter. The fantasy film, of the same name, accurately recreates some of Capcom's famous video game creatures.
- Cinesite’s head of story and director of Hitpig, Cinzia Angelini, will discuss MILA with a walkthrough of the animated short’s production process, a unique, worldwide online collaboration of 350 volunteers and scores of sponsors from over 35 countries.
Animation Production Days - May 4-7, 2021:
APD, a joint venture of FMX and ITFS, is a curated business platform that brings together international co-production, financing, and distribution partners for animation projects in efficient one-to-one meetings. The meetings will take place online, the complementary APD conference hybrid if possible.
Innovative projects at the concept or development stage can be submitted until February 22. Projects can be submitted in the following formats: feature film, TV series, game, cross-media. Additional information is available HERE.
Up-and-coming European producers can apply with a project for free participation in APD via the APD Talent Programme.
