The live-action Dungeons & Dragons series, first teased in 2021 and previously in development at Paramount+, has found a new home at Netflix, Variety has confirmed.

Drew Crevello (WeCrashed, X-Men: First Class) will serve as writer, executive producer, and showrunner on the new iteration, now titled The Forgotten Realms. While plot details remain a mystery, fans may refer to the “D&D” campaign setting of the same name for possible hints.

Previous series developers eOne and Paramount Pictures also collaborated on the 2023 film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Hasbro now produces, with Shawn Levy and Dan Levine executive producing for 21 Laps.
