2008 NAB Show
The NAB Show is the world's largest professional digital media industry convention. The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) has been hosting this event for over 80 years for all traditional broadcast, entertainment and emerging platform industries, including TV, Radio, Film, Internet and many others.
KRAZY!: The Delirious World of Anime + Manga + Video Games
Once considered the preserve of an insular youth culture, within the last decade Japanese animated cartoons (anime), comics and illustrated narratives (manga), and interactive video games have migrated into the mainstream, with reverberations both high and low. In a first for New York City, the Japan Society explores this phenomenon in "KRAZY!: The Delirious World of Anime + Manga + Video Games" from March 12 through June 14, 2009.
Art Space: Architecture and Landscape
NVIDIA and CGSociety have teamed up to offer another NVArt competition, this time the focus is on architecture and landscape design. Titled Art Space: Architecture and Landscape, this digital art competition challenges participants to create awe-inspiring architecture and landscape designs.
First prize is 2 NVIDIA Quadro FX 5500 cards, and 1 week 'all inclusive' holiday valued at $10,000 (USD). Second prize is NVIDIA Quadro FX 5500, and a $500 (USD) American Express Gift Card. Third prize is NVIDIA Quadro FX 3500, and a $500 (USD) American Express Gift Card.
2008 Adobe Design Achievement Awards
Adobe Systems Inc. is hosting the eighth annual Adobe Design Achievement Awards (ADAA). The awards honor talented and promising student graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, animators, digital filmmakers, developers and computer artists from the world's top institutions of higher education. Reflecting the growth in the interactive design field and the importance of the integration between design and development, Adobe has added several new categories in three media areas: Interactive Media, Motion Media, and Traditional Media.

Art Institute of California - San Diego Open House
An Open House to explore a creative arts education (Design, Media Arts, Fashion, Culinary Arts) is being held at The Art Institute of California - San Diego on Feb. 2, 2008 at 10:00 am.
Attendees will be invited to learn more about the school's programs, discuss educational goals, tour the facilities, learn about tuition scholarship opportunities and gain a first-hand look at how an Art Institute creative education can be the preparation for a career.
CGSociety-NVIDIA NVArt Competition
CGSociety and NVIDIA are hosting the first NVArt competition. The "Amazing Creations" contest for digital artists has a prize pool valued at over $21,000.

Going Mental with Hardware Rendering
LA ACM SIGGRAPH and NVIDIA are presenting "Going Mental with Hardware Rendering." The event will feature presentations by: Eric Enderton, NVIDIA -- Gelato and MoCA; Tim Heath, NVIDIA -- resident animator/artist, PLUSH LIFE; Mattieu Laban, NVIDIA Tools Group, Fx Composer and Perf Tools; and a special Mental Mill presentation.
The event will take place at the Barnsdall Art Park, located at 4800 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, California. A social hour will begin at 6:30 pm, followed immediately by the program.

Then IAF and Turkish Cartoon Foundation combined to organize the festival. First two festivals were national with Turk animators. The third one has international films and competitors. And this year we are organizing 4th Istanbul International Animation Festival.

IEEE Pacific-Rim Symposium on Image and Video Technology
The second PSIVT symposium takes place at Santiago, Chile, on 7-9 November 2007. The symposium will provide a forum for presenting and exploring the newest research and development in image and video technology by discussing the possibilities and directions in this field, a place where both academic research and industrial activities are presented and meet for mutual benefit.
