From Cutting Edge To Cookie Cutter
WHEN: Wednesday, February 20th, 2008 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The visual effects industry has evolved dramatically over the last decade. The cutting edge technology of yesterday is the cookie cutter tool of today.
By using examples from a large variety of Rhythm and Hues projects, we explore the roles of research & development, international expansion and competition & cooperation to see what is involved in bringing the visions and expectations of movie makers and audiences come to life.
Primary projects to be discussed include: -The Golden Compass-Kingdom-Alvin and the Chipmunks
Speakers:WILL TELFORDDigital Effects Supervisor
HANS RIJPKEMAProduction Technology Lead
