Rushes Soho Shorts Festival 2011

We are a not-for-profit festival celebrating the wealth of talent working across all genres of short film including live action drama, documentary, animation, music video, and broadcast design including online or mobile content, title sequences, and idents.

The work of newcomers and established filmmakers is promoted by screening work at cinemas, screening rooms and cafes throughout Soho and London’s West End.

IBC 2010

Learn how to design powerful and dynamic film imagery that connects with its intended audiences, utilizing techniques painstakingly developed by cinematic masters. This two-day on-line Master Class is an expert analysis of visual planning and directing through the process of storyboarding.  It is designed for professionals and students in the areas of film and animation directing, storyboarding, pre-visualization and editing. It offers a practical set of techniques that can strengthen each filmmaker’s storytelling ability. 

The lecturer, David Russell, is an authority on the subject of visual storytelling.  In close collaboration with celebrated directors including George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, Tim Burton and Peter Weir, he has created key sequences for over 100 film and television productions, including Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, The Color Purple, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Thin Red Line, Moulin Rouge, Master and Commander, and the upcoming Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

Brownstones to Red Dirt Postcard Art Benefit

Copper Pot Pictures has paired with the Picture Book Project and Schools for Salone to hold an online art auction to benefit the schools featured in its documentary, BROWNSTONES TO RED DIRT.  The auction includes over 150 pieces created by some of the top names in animation as well as children’s book, graphic novel and comic illustration, including Oscar-winning director Chris Wedge, Toy Story 3 Art Director Daisuke Tsutsumi, renowned illustrator Peter DeSeve and legendary Sesame Street puppeteer Caroll Spinney.

Independent Exposure is seeking narrative, artistic, humorous, dramatic, animation, documentary, experimental, alternative, avant-garde, ambient, music videos, and underground works of all genres, formats, and styles. 

Prizes include Panasonic AG-HSC1U 1/4" 3-CCD High Definition Video Camera and Selected works from the MicrocinemaDVD.com Catalog.

  Since 2005, Independent Exposure has teamed up with a partner to curate the screening programs and select prize winners and a "best-of" selection. Recent partners include Addictive TV, Hal Hartley, and Asthmatic Kitty Records. This year we are pleased to partner with Academy Award-Nominated Animator Bill Plympton.

Asolo Art Film Festival 28th Edition
