Children's Media Project and The Hamptons International Film Festival (HIFF) seek outstanding original video and/or film work produced by young people from across the country and around the world for The Young Videomakers Program. This year's program will feature a juried competition and a non-competitive section, with screenings at HIFF for both programs.
Accepting submissions for: Documentary, Narrative, Experimental (includes computer based animation and music videos), Public Service Announcements, Stop-Motion Animation. Filmmakers are particularly encouraged to submit videos that explore issues of conflict and resolution, through the world or in their own communities. Filmmakers must be 19 years old and younger. Entries must be less than 20 minutes in length. Submission format: VHS. Exhibition format, if selected: (In order of preference) Mini DV, Hi-8(8), S-VHS, VHS. Completion date: Films must have been completed after June 1, 2001.
