The Sketches program at SIGGRAPH is a premier forum for presentations of the latest ideas, methods, and uses of computer graphics. Topics range from hard-core scientific research to behind-the-scenes presentations of blockbuster special effects.
For SIGGRAPH 2004 we'd particularly like to encourage animators to submit sketch proposals to present and discuss their work. The focus isn't necessarily on the latest whiz-bang technology, but rather on the creative motivations and the artistic, design, and technical challenges in your recent work. The purpose is to share your ideas and experience to help others in the SIGGRAPH community understand how to make best use of the medium. Talks can be about commercial, academic, independent, games, or any other animation.
Submissions of sketch proposals are in the form of a one-page abstract and supporting materials. For more information, see http://www.siggraph.org/s2004/cfp/sketches.
