TIAS presents RYAN, a 15-minute 3D animated short film by Chris Landreth in a surrealist documentary form, about Ryan Larkin. Ryan was a brilliant and talented traditional animator who produced films for the NFB in the early '70s. One of his films was nominated for an Academy Award. Through his demons with alcohol and drugs, he fell to homelessness and begging on the streets of Montreal. It is the story of a broken genius, a talent that was rocketing to the top -- but deteriorated into oblivion. Chris Landreth went to Montreal to interview Ryan who and to talk about his life, and his work. This is one time only exclusive Canadian Sneak Preview screening before the film is taken to the festival circuit around the globe. Tickets are$10 each, limited seating.
