"Heroic" Afternoon Featuring Neal Adams' Work
In conjunction with DC Comics and Clampett Studios, Animazing Gallery in SoHo would like to announce an event to showcase the work of legendary comic artist, Neal Adams. For the first time ever, fans will have the opportunity to see a one-man show featuring Adams' original art, which depicts superheroes such as: Batman, Superman, X-Men and Deadman. A reception for the artist will be held at the Art Expo, at the Jacob Javits Center in New York on Saturday, March 1st, from 2-5 PM.
As DC's top cover artist, Neal Adams set the standard for every graphic artist to portray Superman and Batman in a dramatic, contemporary way - a way that serves as the prototype and inspiration for every illustrator of the characters to this day. Adams successfully updated the Batman from the campy '60s TV-show persona to his revolutionary, modern version of the original dark avenger concept.
The 2003 International Art Expo at the Jacob Javits Center in New York will be held from February 27 - March 3, 2003. Please visit Animazing Gallery at Booth #1214 anytime during the show.
*Neal Adams will be available to conduct media interviews on the day of the show.
