Presented by Armory Center for the Arts, this class is for high school students getting ready to apply to art school. Students will create a body of work that reflects their individuality. They will increase technical and foundation skills in drawing and painting from observation. In addition, students will become more proficient in a variety of art media: charcoal, pastels, acrylic paint. They will develop their artistic voice and personal style through experimentation. Finally, they will learn how to edit their artwork and present a portfolio in an appropriate way. Ages 16-18 are welcome. Artist and teacher Lorraine Cleary-Dale will conduct the class. The class costs $150, Armory members $135. The class will take place every Thursday from 3:30
