Washington, DC International Film Festival will celebrate its 18th year with an eclectic mix of more than 100 new features, documentaries and short films from around the world, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Iceland, Iran, Italy, Lebanon, Peru, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey. The 12-day film festival will include opening and closing night events, discussions with directors, and movie premieres from several major categories including culture, politics and music. There are several popular free programs offered this year including the Directors' Roundtable, a workshop that provides visitors with a unique opportunity to listen as directors discuss their work.
