The voice cast has been announced for Andy Serkis’ Animal Farm, an animated adaptation of the classic allegorical novel by George Orwell. The all-star lineup includes Seth Rogen (The Studio, Superbad), Gaten Matarazzo (Stranger Things, My Father’s Dragon), Steve Buscemi (Fargo, Boardwalk Empire), Glenn Close (Fatal Attraction, Dangerous Liasons), Laverne Cox (Orange is the New Black, Uglies), Kieran Culkin (A Real Pain, Succession), Woody Harrelson (True Detective, The People vs. Larry Flynt), Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory, Spoiler Alert), Kathleen Turner (Romancing the Stone, Serial Mom), Iman Vellani (Ms. Marvel, The Marvels), and Serkis (The Lord of the Rings, Planet of the Apes).
Nick Stoller (The Muppets, Storks) penned the screenplay, which tells the story of a group of farm animals who rebel against their human owners and take over the farm, only to be taken over in turn by a pig named Napoleon.
Aniventure and Imaginarium produce with Adam Nagle, Dave Rosenbaum, Jonathan Cavendish, and Serkis. Harrelson executive produces alongside Matt Reeves. Animation is by Cinesite and produced by Connie Nartonis Thompson.
