The second of three animate! evenings exploring portraiture and the medium of animation. The event is chaired by writer and TIME OUT film critic Gareth Evans.
Central to this session is the ebb & flow of the public (or projected) face with the private conception of the self. The animated portrait is revealed to be a far from rigid construct, less a stable arrival than a bold journey into intriguing new ways of seeing. The artists screening and discussing their work are Dryden Goodwin with an extract from his REVEAL, and Run Wrake with JUKEBOX; novelist and critic M John Harrison talks about Petra Freeman's JUMPING JOAN.
Admission is free, no tickets required, seats allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, visit www.animateonline.org/events/.
