The 20th edition of Animest Bucharest International Animation Festival, the only Oscar qualifying event in Romania, will take place October 3-12, 2025.
The 19th edition of the festival is accepting submissions for competition in multiple categories; the festival runs October 4-13, 2024, in Bucharest.
The multiple Oscar nominee, named Co-Chief Creative Officer alongside Chief Creative Officer Eric Darnell, will work on the studio’s ‘Momoguro’ franchise that includes games and a series in development, as well as shows in development with Disney+.
The studio’s latest ‘Momoguro’ franchise expansion launches on the global gaming platform this summer; also announced - Disney+ collaboration to adapt studio’s award-winning VR film ‘Baba Yaga’ and its workplace comedy ‘Intercats’ into animated series.
