Starting Saturday, October 5, the event’s first weekend includes a double feature, The Sven Squad’s special Saturday Morning Cartoons appearance for the House of Svengoolie Cartoon BOO-Nanza, and mini-marathons of Halloween-themed classic TV westerns and comedy TV series.
Coming next month, the mischievous Woody and his friends join ‘Saturday Morning Cartoons,’ a 3-hour block featuring classic cartoon collections, including ‘Popeye & Pals,’ ‘The Tom & Jerry Show’ and ‘Bugs Bunny & Friends.’
Hosted one-hour series will feature sketches, guests, interviews, and games leading into some of the most iconic cartoon shorts ever, including fan favorites from the Merrie Melodies, Looney Tunes, and the MGM shorts libraries; ‘Saturday Morning Cartoon’ three-hour cartoon block debuts January 2.
Prolific writer and producer will be remembered, along with co-creator and production partner Joe Ruby, for their many Saturday morning animated series including ‘Dynomutt,’ ‘Dog Wonder,’ ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks,’ and ‘Superman.’
