Independent animation distributor’s current slate of Oscar hopefuls includes ‘My Life as a Zucchini,’ ‘Miss Hokusai,’ ‘April and the Extraordinary World,’ ‘Phantom Boy’ and ‘Mune.’
With some projects yet to complete their qualifying run, a record 27 features are submitted for consideration in the Animated Feature Film category for the 89th Academy Awards.
English-language voice cast includes Paul Giamatti, Tony Hale, Susan Sarandon and J.K. Simmons; film opens March 25th in NYC, April 1st in LA, and expands nationally on April 8th.
Animated feature directed by Christian Desmares and Franck Ekinci opens in New York on March 25th followed by nationwide expansion on April 8th.
Konstantin Bronzit’s ‘We Can’t Live Without Cosmos’ wins Cristal award for best short film at the 39th Annecy International Animated Film Festival, while Franck Ekinci and Christian Desmares’ ‘April and the Extraordinary World’ awarded Cristal for best feature film.
