Steamboat Software's rendering software Jig v1.0 is now available for
sale or evaluation. Jig is a comprehensive solution for rendering
traditional geometry, photorealistic hair, volumes and particles. The
software was developed for Linux and has been ported to Irix and NT.
Jig has been used by the industry's leading visual effects producers,
including Digital Domain (Motorola "Mya" commercial, "How the Grinch
Stole Christmas"), Centropolis Effects ("Stuart Little"), The Secret
Lab ("Gone in Sixty Seconds") and Sony Imageworks ("What Lies
Beneath"). Jig v1.0 includes one floating license of Jig v1.0, the
KAI C++ compiler, Maya2Jig and Hpart2Jig for US$1,050/License/CPU.
