Fans were treated to sneak peeks of games, trailers and surprise announcements; day two of DCFanDome.com is coming September 12.
Superheroes and Super-Villains came together celebrating all things DC; on August 22, for a full 24 hours, fans the world over gathered in one place to celebrate DC’s past, present and future. DCFanDome.com, the first of its kind virtual global event, spanned the DC Multiverse. The packed fan-fest was ripe with new announcements from WB Games, Film and TV, and comics, and the voices of casts and creators behind fan favorite feature films and TV series, including: Aquaman, The Batman, Batwoman, Black Adam, Black Lightning, DC Super Hero Girls, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, DC’s Stargirl, Doom Patrol, The Flash, Harley Quinn, the SnyderCut of Justice League, Lucifer, Pennyworth, SHAZAM!, The Suicide Squad, Supergirl, Superman & Lois, Teen Titans GO!, Titans, Watchmen, Young Justice: Outsiders and, coming this fall to theaters worldwide, Wonder Woman 1984.

From the DC FanDome: Hall of Hereos comes:
Wonder Woman 1984
The cast and director of DC’s next big screen adventure kicked things off in good form with a rousing Q&A that featured some surprise guests and our first look at the new Wonder Woman 1984 trailer.
Director Patty Jenkins was joined by Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal to discuss their upcoming follow-up to the 2017 hit. However, the highlight of the 25-minute panel was a surprise appearance from original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter; it was then topped off with the debut of the film’s second trailer.
Gotham Knights
The Hall of Heroes’ second big panel was a Warner Bros. Games Montreal announcement of an exciting new game called Gotham Knights.
In Gotham Knights, Batman is dead, and it is up to four young members of the Bat-Family; Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood to fill the void left by the fallen Dark Knight.
“The Sandman Universe: Enter the Dreaming”
This discussion, hosted by Yvette Nicole Brown and featuring guests Neil Gaiman, G. Willow Wilson, Dirk Maggs and Michael Sheen, looked at the history of Gaiman’s “Sandman” comic and the expansion of the original 75-issue series into things like the just launched comic The Dreaming: Waking Hours, the #1 New York Times Bestselling The Sandman audio production and the upcoming Netflix adaptation.
Introducing Flash
Flash is coming! Currently slated to hit theatres summer of 2022, director Andy Muschietti, star Ezra Miller, screenwriter Christina Hodson and producer Barbara Muschietti shared enough details to spark excitement for this highly anticipated new adventure into the DC Universe. Although the major plot points remain a mystery, Muschietti and Hodson confirmed that it’s a time travel story, with the tone of the movie keeping with Muschietti’s ability to deftly switch from comedic moments, to horrific ones, to deeply emotional ones.
The Suicide Squad
The Suicide Squad’s director, James Gunn, who helmed Marvel’s wildly successful Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, started off with a Q&A session sharing his excitement over his chance to write Harley Quinn and that he thinks of this movie as a sequel to John Ostrander’s “Suicide Squad” comics. Gunn also surprised fans with an introduction to the full cast and their roles.

Legacy of the Bat
A look at the scope of Batman as both a DC character and pop culture icon, this panel was devoted to discussion about the importance of the Dark Knight and his continual evolution. The discussion was moderated by actor Nyambi Nyambi and featured DC Publisher and COO, Jim Lee; Batwoman executive producer, Caroline Dries; Warner Bros. Games Montreal creative director Patrick Redding, writer and screenwriter John Ridley, Titans actor Brenton Thwaites; and new Batwoman star Javicia Leslie.
Lee and Ridley announced that Ridley would be writing an all-new Batman miniseries for DC featuring artist Nick Derington. The pair shared an illustration from the comic by artist LADRÖNN and said the book would spend a lot of time with Lucius Fox’s family and would likely feature a Batman of color.
The Batman
Director Matt Reeves’ (War for the Planet of the Apes, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Cloverfield) The Batman teaser trailer stars Robert Pattinson; the film is set to begin shooting again next month and hit theatres October 1, 2021.
The ‘Justice League’ Snyder Cut’
At DC Fandome, Zack Snyder confirmed his new cut of Justice League will be available in four separate one-hour installments on HBO Max in 2021.
“We’ll find a way of bundling it all together at the end,” added Snyder to overseas fans, who do not have the streaming service.
Black Adam
In a surprise announcement at the Black Adam panel, Dwayne Johnson along with his co-star Noah Centineo shared that the Justice Society of America will be introduced in the film. In an animated tease, Hawkman, Doctor Fate and Cyclone were announced as Atom Smasher’s fellow JSA members that will appear in the film.
“Static Shock”
Created by Milestone Media and DC Comics in the 1990s, an all-new “Static Shock” digital comic series is scheduled to launch in February 2021. According to filmmaker Reginald Hudlin, the electric teen superhero might also be to the big screen.
Titans Season 3
Old friends and new threats await the Titans in Season 3 of Titans, with DC characters Red Hood (played by series star Curran Walters), Barbara Gordon (to be cast) and Dr. Jonathan Crane (to be cast) confirmed to appear in the season.
