Cartoombria 2003 is a non-competitive festival without entry fees. It has become a point of reference in Italy for what concerns the contemporary trends in animation by achieving its yearly presentation as regards the study in depth of the relationship between animated images, new media, music and visual arts. Cartoombria 2003 will in fact include multimedia and audiovisual experimental performances in realtime (acted by musicians and computer artists), environments and installations exhibition, screenings, seminars, meetings conducted by special guests.

ATF is returning for its 4th edition this year as the largest programming market in the Asia Pacific region, and the only programming market in South East Asia. This annual hotel-based event brings together international distributors and Asian buyers, promising 3 days of buying, selling and networking at the largest media gathering in this part of the world.

The 25th International Festival of New Latin American Cinema highlights films from around the world. As part of this year's event, the San Francisco Film Society will present a selection of award-winning films from the 46th San Francisco International Film Festival.

"International Federation of Journalists" and "Cartoonists Rights Network East Europe" is presenting an international exhibition dedicated to Ion Luca Caragiale, an East European writer, humorist, dramatist, caricaturist and journalist, killed in 1912 because of his features. All great caricaturists from the world were invited to submit their work. Ten gold prizes of $1,000 will be awarded and winners along with 15 other cartoonists will be invited to participate at exhibition's open.

The I Castelli Animati Festival highlights animation in all its forms from commercials to features films. The international competition awards the following prizes: grand prize, special jury prize, best debut short film, best European short film, audience prize, Fabrizio Bellocchino prize, best Web animation and best non-narrative short film. This initiative has been created in response to the raising demand of Spanish productions.
