The School of Visual Arts is proud to present the 13th Annual Dusty Film Festival and Awards, a three-day viewing feast of short films, videos, and traditional animations. At the event, graduating film, video and animation students from SVA will be recognized for their outstanding achievements with four days of star treatment. The festival will screen all thesis works beginning at noon on May 13-15, then hold an evening awards ceremony and gala reception on May 16, from 7 to 10 pm at New York's Beekman Theater.
Support from all facets of the industry has combined to create a prestigious event for introducing film and video makers; industry VIPs; and celebrities to a new generation of artists. Awards will be presented in the following categories: Outstanding Achievements in Screenwriting, Cinematography, Video, Editing, Directing, Film, Acting, Traditional Animation and Stop-Motion Animation.
