Mr. Lawrence is a local animator who has been making his own animated (and live-action) films independently while maintaining a career in the animation industry as an animator, storyboard artist, writer and director on such series as REN & STIMPY, TWISTED TALES OF FELIX THE CAT, and CATDOG. On ROCKO'S MODERN LIFE and SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, Mr. Lawrence was not only a writer and director, but provided numerous character voices including Filbert (ROCKO) and Plankton (SPONGEBOB).
Mr. Lawrence will show selected examples of his industry work and debut many of his personal films and network pilots and will explain how he does it all. Starting at 3:00 pm, the event will take place at The American Film Institute, Ted Ashley/Warner Bros. Screening Room, 2021 N. Western Ave. The screening is free for ASIFA members and $10 for non-members.
