The Savannah College of Art and Design presents the Game Developers eXchange 2007, Friday, April 27, from 9:00 am to 4:45 pm, at Trustees Theater, 216 E. Broughton St. The keynote speaker is Michael Capps, Ph.D., president of Epic Games.
GDX is an all-day event during which game development experts share behind-the-scenes knowledge about the gaming industry. It provides game developers, educators and students the opportunity to select from a variety of sessions about what goes into developing videogames, game design, art and programming.
Capps will deliver the keynote address about next-generation game development. Capps served as lead designer of the Xbox game Unreal Championship 2 and is working on the highly anticipated title GEARS OF WAR for Xbox 360.

Registration begins Feb. 23. Student registration is $20, and general registration before March 30 is a discounted price of $30. After March 30, the price for registration is $50. The registration fee also includes admission to the Women in Games International conference, "Advancing Your Career in Game Development," Thursday, April 26, 1-7:30 p.m., at Trustees Theater. WIGI, a nonprofit organization in the interactive entertainment industry, created the conference series to serve as a forum to discuss a wide range of issues pertaining to women in the gaming industry.
