CATNAP, the Chicago Area Toon Novices and Professionals returns to their regular monthly meeting schedule following a brief summer hiatus. The next meeting will feature a presentation by Marc Vulcano, former director of animation for Big Idea Studios. His presentation "Character Animation, How to Make Your Work Believable" is a must-see for any serious animator. Vulcano covers the essentials of the character animator's approach, philosophy, responsibilities and priorities in creating great animation. The meeting begins at 1:00 pm at itoons, 3717 N. Ravenswood. The meeting will also include an update on the collaborative 30-second animation that is being created to promote the group and its goal of raising awareness for the Chicago area animation community. CATNAP meetings are held the third Saturday of each month and are free and open to the public.
