ASIFA-Hollywood will examine the history of stop-motion animation at the American Film Institute in the Ted Ashley Screening Room on Saturday, August 23, 2003 at 3 pm. From Jasper to Gumby, some obscure examples will include works from animators George Pal, Frank Tashlin, Charles Bowers, Lou Bunin, Ray Harryhausen, Art Clokey, John Burton and many others. Don't miss these rare examples of a (now) lost art! The event will be hosted by Jerry Beck.
The American Film Institute is located at 2021 N. Western Avenue in Los Angeles. Admission is $2.00 for ASIFA-Hollywood members and $10.00 for non-members. Admission is free if you buy an ASIFA-Hollywood membership at the door.
