An animator, director and producer, Paul Fierlinger has done it all. From his early shorts for Sesame Street (Teeny Little Super Guy) to his poetic commissioned films (And then I’ll Stop) and personal works (Drawn from Memory, My Dog Tulip, A Room Nearby, Still Life with Animated Dogs), Fierlinger’s work has been marked by tender, humanist portraits that are touching and heart-warming without being drenched in cheese.
Paul agreed to meet me and my dog Pookie in field. The year was 2018. The month was March. The weather was grey. Our moods, including Pookie’s, were not.
