2-D animation will never die. The invention of photography did not kill painting. Why would animation be any different?

So I have finally started back on some more animation-style stuff and less realistic stuff. I do still have a commission to start and finish but I'll post it later.

I did a couple sketches that I haven't colored yet and will post them once they're finished off. For now, here is my drawing of the Phantom of the Opera. I just saw the movie yesterday and was inspired to draw the title character. It didn't turn out that great. The anatomy is all weird but oh well. I had to get the idea down--wish it could have turned out better, though.

I have an idea about how to showcase your art in the Daily Sketch Forum. Everyone who would like to take part in the forum could start a thread with their user name then adding Gallery afterwards, as the title.

Eg. Danimation Gallery

Anytime you have a new sketch or finished work you can post it in your own thread. Not only does it keep the forum tidy, but it also let's everyone know when you last posted. I think this will work quite well. Any comments or ideas are welcome. Cheers

Because the Daily Sketch thread within the AWN Show and Tell Forum has been so popular for so many months, we've decided to devote an entire forum to showcasing our member's daily sketching efforts.

The originator of the thread, user Danimation, has generously agreed to moderate this new forum.

Enjoy.
