Event kicks off November 12, featuring hundreds of activities, with screenings, panels, workshops, masterclasses, and making of sessions; special events include ‘Magic Light Pictures at 20’ and ‘Festival Spotlight on Croatia.’

The 7th edition returns as a hybrid event offering content online and in person November 14-30; new events include a keynote by the BBC’s Patricia Hidalgo and a feature film competition showcasing 4 international filmmakers.
The online event will run November 1-30 with live events and screenings running November 14-19; 2021 poster artwork was designed by award-winning animator Matthew Lee.
Top winners at yesterday’s virtual awards ceremony also included ‘Pearl Diver’ for Best Student Short, and ‘Biplane Model Kit’ for Best Commissioned Film.
The Oscar-winning couple, known for their distinct cartoon style and cutting humor, have been awarded this year’s Fellowship Award for their contributions to the animation industry; the award will be presented on the MAF platform alongside a retrospective screening of their work.
BBC Children’s director Alice Webb to deliver keynote address at Manimation 2015, to be held in Manchester on Thursday, November 19.
