Nelvana Communications has announced several key personnel changes. STEVEGALLOWAY has been recruited for Vice President of Development for NelvanaCommunications. He comes from Universal Studios/Music Group where he servedfor eight years as Vice President Longform Programming & Production. Hewill be responsible for overseeing the development of Nelvana's newanimated series for television.

JENENE J. WILSON has been appointed Vice President, Human Resources byPacific Data Images. She will be responsible for directing the company'scorporate human resource initiatives, including organizational design,employee compensation and benefits, corporate recruiting and training.Previously, she was Director of Human Resources for Mattel, Inc. Prior tothat she was Vice President, Compensation and Employee Benefits for LosAngeles-based Carter Hawley Hale Stores, Inc.

Jan Nagel has been named Interim President of the non-profit, professional organization Women in Animation. Nagel replaces Women In Animation founder Rita Street until elections are held later this year. Nagel, formerly Vice President of the organization, has worked hand-in-hand with Street since WIA's inception in 1994. "As the Interim President, I will work with everyone in Women in Animation to help nurture the organization through this transition," commented Nagel.

Evening Sky Productions has named MITCH NADON general and operationsmanager. Nadon will be responsible for the day-to-day management and studiooperations of Evening Sky and The Animation House, its commercial division,and she will also oversee the areas of trade marketing and human resources.Nadon comes to Evening Sky from Toronto-based Spin Productions, where shewas Operations Officer. Will Vinton Studios has promoted Zilpha Yost to executive producer, a new position in the advertising divsion which is headed by president David Altschul. Yost has been a senior producer at Vinton Studios since 1992, taking a leave of absence in 1995 to run the stop-motion studio in Los Angeles for Tim Burton's MARS ATTACKS. When Burton chose to complete the film in CGI, Yost returned to Vinton, bringing some of the creative artists who had been doing stop-motion animation on MARS ATTACKS with her. Yost will work very closely with Rich Durkin, executive producer in Vinton's New York office.

BOO WONG has been promoted to head the CGI Department atCurious Pictures, the bi-coastal, live-action, graphics, special effectsand animation studio, it was announced today by Executive Producer/Head ofProduction Richard Winkler. Wong, 33, succeeds Tammy Walters, who recentlyleft the company to pursue a career as a producer.
