‘The Wild Robot’ Takes Home Producers Guild Award

Jeff Hermann is honored for his work alongside Chris Sanders on the hit DreamWorks Animation feature; ‘Shōgun’ wins for Episodic Television – Drama.

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced this year’s winning motion picture, TV, and new media productions at their 36th Annual Producers Guild Awards held Saturday night, February 8, at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City.

Jeff Hermann, p.g.a. took home the award for best Producer of Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures for his work on the DreamWorks Animation hit, The Wild Robot. The Oscar-nominated animated adventure took home 9 Annie Awards on Saturday evening as well.

Special honorees included Chris Meledandri, who was presented with the David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures; Taika Waititi, who received the Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television; Dana Walden, who received the Milestone Award; and the late Lynda Obst and Paula Weinstein, recipients of the Trailblazer Award.
