Wonky Films Releases 'Chicken' App

Wonky Films releases an app for its latest short film, “Why did the chicken cross the road?”

Wonky Films has released an app for its latest short film “Why did the chicken cross the road?” The short film which was part crowd-funded finally provides us with the answer to one of life’s greatest questions, a question more baffling than whether the chicken or the egg came first, but now Wonky have the true story behind the famous question. The journey follows Mr Chicken all the way from his troubled childhood to the most famous moment of his life.

The Why Did the Chicken Cross The Road? app which is now available for free from the Apple app store for the iPad contains the full film, plus a peek behind the scenes with additional content including storyboards, animatics and film designs by illustration duo Peskimo. This bonus content provides the viewer with a valuable insight into the steps involved in producing an animated film. Great for aspiring animators to get a glimpse behind the scenes

There is also a bunch of additional mini games featuring the films protagonist Mr Chicken and his pesky enemies Robin and his gang, including the addictive “Whack a Robin” and the challenging “Quest for the Golden Egg”, plus hundreds of laughs to be had with the “Joke Generator”.
