What's New With Buzzco Associates

InBetweening America, Candy Kugel's short film based on a Saul Steinberg New Yorker magazine cover illustration of 20 American faces was screened at the New York Film Festival on October 5 and 6, 2001. Although the film was completed and accepted into the festival before the events on September 11th, the American flag motif and the variety of American faces seemed particularly relevant in light of recent events. Because of this timely screening of her short, Candy was interviewed for the AMC series "Behind the Screen." InBetweening America was also shown at City Pages Documentary Film Festival in Minneapolis on November 10, 2001 and at Italy's I Castelli Animati in October.Buzzco is featuring a Flash animated political cartoon on their Website created in reaction to the events of September 11. It can be viewed at http://www.buZZZco.com.

Buzzco Associates Candy Kugel and Vincent Cafarelli are also profiled in the Animation Showcase, AWN's online gallery. With over 200 images and 25 clips, these galleries are showing the diversity of the studio's work, from commercials to shorts and other indie projects.
