The stop-motion comedy and ‘Dune’ sequel each take home 2 awards, with ‘Wicked’ winning twice as well, including Best Production Design, at the yesterday’s 2025 EE British Academy Film Awards gala.
Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham’s stop-motion comedy, Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl and Denis Villeneuve’s gritty sci-fi drama, Dune: Part Two, were two of the big winners at last night’s 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards in a ceremony hosted by David Tennant at The Royal Festival Hall in London. The Aardman and Netflix comedy caper took home awards for Best Animated Film as well as for Best Children’s & Family Film, while the Warner Bros. Dune sequel won for Best Special Visual Effects and Best Sound.
Nina Gantz’s stop-motion dark comedy short, Wander to Wonder, took home the award for Best British Short Animation, while Jon M. Chu’s musical adventure, Wicked, won for Best Production Design and Best Costume Design.
Both Dune: Part Two and Wicked each received seven nominations overall.
