After creator/exec producer/director Frank Darabont let go his entire writing staff on WALKING DEAD, there was speculation that he'd make TV history and forego a staff for season two. Now Deadline.com reports that Glen Mazzara has been tapped as a writing exec producer and set with the task of hiring five new scribes. Mazzara (THE SHIELD) penned one of the scripts for season one on a freelance basis. Season one has six episodes while season two is slated for 13.
