TRUE BLOOD star Alexander Skarsgard has joined the cast of BATTLESHIP, reports HEAT VISION. Universal's board game adaptation stars Taylor Kitsch (X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE). Peter Berg is helming.
Written by Jon and Erich Hoeber, the story finds fleets from around the world coming together to battle an alien invasion on the high seas. Skarsgard will play Kitsch's brother. Kitsch is a maverick naval officer who idolizes his by-the-book Naval officer sibling.
Berg is also the producer alongside Film 44 partner Sarah Aubrey, Hasbro’s Brian Goldner and Bennett Schneir and Scott Stuber. Universal's Jeffrey Kirschenbaum and Anikah McLaren are shepherding.
