Tool Director/DP Robert Richardson took home the Academy Award for Best Cinematography for Martin Scorsese's 3-D film “Hugo” at last night's 84th annual Academy Awards.

Tool Director/DP Robert Richardson took home the Academy Award for Best Cinematography for Martin Scorsese's 3-D film Hugo at last night's 84th annual Academy Awards. Hugo marks Richardson's third Oscar; he received Best Cinematography awards for Scorsese's The Aviator, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Oliver Stone's JFK. Richardson earned his other three Oscar nominations -- all in the Best Cinematography category -- for Inglourious Basterds, Snow Falling on Cedars, Born on the Fourth of July, and Platoon.
Richardson is currently wrapping production on Quentin Tarantino's upcoming film Django Unchained.
