London-based independent animation studio expands its creative team with the Italy-based character designer, animator, and illustrator.
London-based independent animation studio and production company Studio AKA has added character designer, animator, and illustrator Margherita Premuroso as a director. The Italian-based artist boasts a portfolio encompassing title sequences, commercials, film, video games, and print media.
A European Institute of Design Milan graduate, Premuroso initially pursued traditional art forms before shifting professionally to computer graphics, gaining experience across diverse animation mediums, including CG, stop-motion, 2D, rotoscope, and hand-drawn techniques.
Premuroso honed her skills as artistic director for animation and video game studios in Europe and the U.S. Her title sequence work includes Suburbicon (2017); The Putin Interviews (2017); Lodge 49 (2018); Tell Me A Story (2018); Velvet Buzzsaw (2019); and Semi-Permanent Sydney (2019).
