Beatrix Potter’s iconic character Peter Rabbit makes its return to television next month in a new holiday special, "Peter Rabbit’s Christmas Tale."
Beatrix Potter’s iconic character Peter Rabbit is set to make its return to television next month on Nick Jr. The U.S. cable channel will premiere Peter Rabbit’s Christmas Tale on Friday, December 14th at 7PM.
Produced by Silvergate Media for Nickelodeon USA and the BBC, the CG special is animated by Dublin-based studio Brown Bag.
Peter Rabbit’s Christmas Tale follows Peter Rabbit and his cousin Benjamin as they take over for Mr. Bouncer when he gets sick and can’t make the important holiday supply delivery run. The duo also find themselves in a need to fight a blizzard and the evil fox Mr. Tod in order to deliver important gifts and supplies to the members of the Lake district. They also get to make a new friend named Lily Bobtail – a new character based on Beatrix Potter herself.
Nick Jr. will also be airing the new CG-animated series The Tales of Peter Rabbit in 2013.
