Netflix has just announced that BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg’s all-new animated comedy, Long Story Short, will hit the streamer on August 22. The show was first revealed last August.

Also announced was the cast, which includes Lisa Edelstein, Paul Reiser, Ben Feldman, Abbi Jacobson, Max Greenfield, Angelique Cabral, Nicole Byer, as well as recurring guests Dave Franco and Michaela Dietz.

The show follows one family, the Schwooper siblings, over time, from childhood to adulthood and back again, chronicling their triumphs, disappointments, joys, and compromises.

Bob-Waksberg serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Longtime colleague, BoJack Horseman producer and Tuca & Bertie executive producer Lisa Hanawalt serves as supervising producer. Executive producers include Noel Bright and Steven A. Cohen for Tornante Television, Corey Campodonico and Alex Bulkley as co-executive producers for ShadowMachine. The animation is being produced by ShadowMachine.

Bob-Waksberg and members of his team will be at Annecy next month to present a Masterclass on the new series.
