The U.S. release of Paddington in Peru has shifted from January 2025 to February 14, 2025. The film franchise’s third installment is now poised to premiere on the double Valentine’s Day/ President’s Day weekend.
The film debuted in the U.K. in early November, quickly earning the title of biggest debut for a British film since the 2021 James Bond title No Time to Die.
Paddington in Peru sees the beloved bear return to Peru to visit his Aunt Lucy, who now resides at the Home for Retired Bears. With the Brown family in tow, a thrilling adventure ensues when a mystery plunges them into an unexpected journey.
The returning cast includes Ben Whishaw, Imelda Staunton, Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Madeleine Harris and Samuel Joslin. The ensemble includes new additions Olivia Colman, Emily Mortimer, Carla Tous and Antonio Banderas.
Dougal Wilson directs from a screenplay by Mark Burton, Jon Foster & James Lamont. Previous Paddington helmer Paul King developed the story with Simon Farnaby and Burton. The film is from StudioCanal and Heyday Films.
The VFX were created by Clear Angle Studios, Framestore, Studio Canal, and TPO VFX. The Production VFX Supervisor was Alexis Wajsbrot, and the Animation Director was Pablo Grillo, both from Framestore.
